What is Artisan Chocolate?

Artisan chocolate is like a fine bottle of wine; every step is a labor of love. Cooperatives of cacao farmers and “Bean to Bar” chocolate makers using old world, hand made techniques and fine rare cacao beans of single origin. The flavors of each bar are indigenous to where the cacao beans are grown, like the terroir of the grape in wine making. Exotic Chocolate Tasting offers you the experience of tasting these special chocolates from around the world at your pleasure.

Just off Africa's southeastern coast is the island of Madagascar. Here, the unique climate and soil create some of the best growing conditions for cocoa on the planet.

We actually make our chocolate from scratch (bean to bar) in Madagascar. This means every step of our process happens close to the source and our cocoa beans only spend a month between harvest and manufacturing. It also means the people of Madagascar benefit more (4x) from their own natural resources.

Madécasse was inspired by our Peace Corps experiences in Madagascar.

Madécasse is located at 523 Prospect Place, Suite 305, Brooklyn, NY

Hello Roxanne…Snowed in today on Long Island and decided to make a delicious hot chocolate with grated Brix Milk Chocolate purchased at your Wine and Chocolate Pairing a few weeks ago.

Please set aside a Sizzling Chocolate Bar for me and my family. We are intrigued after reading your website. Chocolate and Bacon in one yummy bite? Tell me more.

Enjoyed every second of the Wine and Chocolate Tasting at Northport Tasting Room & Wine Cellar in Northport, New York. Wonderful wines paired with rich delicious chocolate…it doesn’t get much better then that.
